Yosemite Day 2

Day 2 in Yosemite we spend exploring Mariposa Grove. We hiked an 8 mile loop to see some of the oldest trees in the world. We came across some huge sugar pine cones, deer, a rumor of a bear close and a dirty dancing log. The weather was perfect and it was so awesome to be surrounded by all the giant sequoia's.
 We love signs!

Yosemite Day 1

Our first day in Yosemite National Park was pretty mellow. We drove around and made plans for the rest of the days we were going to be there; what we should see, where we should go, and what we should do. We stayed at our condo on Bass Lake and it was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Next year maybe we will stay in the camp grounds to really get the full experience.

Eating lunch on the Mercede River and taking in the magnificent sight of El Capitan
Look close and there is 2 climbers heading up El Cap
Another set of climbers headed up.
We relaxed for a while at El Cap and just watched the climbers head up the huge mountain. Its an incredible sight to see.

Very Fitting...

Today's Horoscope
Year of the Rabbit....
You will be struggling with a mixed bag this week. Your emotional state may seem more fragile than usual. You may know you're moody, but someone close could accuse you of being distant. Try to ease any sources of stress that make matters worse. A quiet, simple life is best. Reach out to positive and caring friends. Refuse to let disappointment or critical comments get you down. Best Day EVER!!!!

On June 4th I got the best news EVER...I found out I passed the NCLEX...What a relief! The road to becoming a nurse is finally over...I am a freaking nurse! Finally! And the next best thing is that I got a job. I was hired on maternal/newborn and start on June 15th. Life is so great right now and after 2 years of working toward this I am finally here, Im getting everything that I have worked for!
I PASSED!!!!!

This was my cute confidence booster that I looked at every morning for 2 weeks while preparing to take the NCLEX! After calling my parents to tell them I actually passed I came home to a cute message from my dad....I have the best parents in the world!

A little R & R

I scheduled to take the NCLEX on June 2nd...sooooo scary...just 3 weeks after graduation! The benefit of taking it so soon...I got to take the big exam with Heather which was such a relief on such an intense day! We took a kaplan review course 2 weeks before taking the exam and our instructor told us the day before the exam DONT do anything NCLEX related...so we took full advantage of that. Straight girls day all day long! It was great! We got together at 10 o'clock and went and got our favorite breakfast...chunky cinnamon french toast at Kneaders, then it was off to scrub shopping for our new RN positions, which was more than successful...I dropped $160!!! Next up was our swedish massages at Falling Waters Day Spa which was fabulous and so relaxing! We stopped by Great Harvest and got a yummy sandwich before meeting up with Sam and Kristen and going to see Bridesmaids which was hilarious...we laughed our butts off for 2 solid hours and it was the best stress reliever before the big day. I said goodbye to my girls and met up with my family for the best indian food around. I headed home after dinner and crashed so I would be plenty rested before sitting to test at 8am! It was a great day!

Sneak Peak

I took the best little getaway to Yosemite National Park
...so needed and so beautiful...more pictures to follow!

A Quickie

Before heading out to Yosemite for a week long adventure we had to take a little detour to Duchesne to drop off Jet so he could spend some time with Grandma Leavitt. The babies love the property, so much space to roam around on and dirt and rocks and everything else a dog could ever love. They had the best time up there!

Jet wants to eat the camera every time I pull it out
Sass was thirsty after running around and this was the closest water source...so funny
More biting at the camera....
This little guy makes me laugh so much!

Celebrate Good Times

On May 19th my cute friend Irene invited me to A Bar Named Sue for more celebration. I met Irene almost 4 years ago at the U while doing pre reqs for nursing school. We ended up going to different schools for the program but always kept in touch. I spent a few hours chatting with her and a few other girls from Westminster's nursing school and just enjoyed the night. Girl get togethers are always such a blast.

PARRRRTYYYYYYY....

On May 14th we had our official nursing school graduation party. The U paid for Cafe Rio to come to Jaques house and cater dinner for us while we hung out with each other and just enjoyed the night chatting. The food was yummy and the company was great. I honestly could not have ended up with a better bunch of people to spend 2 solid years with...I've had the time of my life and made the best of friends.
Kristen, Sam and I starting the Cafe Rio line...Delish!

After dinner and chatting we were supposed to go out dancing at circle lounge but Tanna missed her plane and everyone went on their separate ways so the foursome decided the night should not be over and we went to see Fast Five...(for the 2nd time) Great night with my great girly friends!

Burnin' the BLUES

On May 13th the girls and I headed up to Millcreek Canyon to get together. We spent a few hours laughing with each other, chatting, eating hot dogs roasted over the fire and making delicious banana boats. I love these girls and any time together is always a good time. We had to wear these awful blue smurf looking scrubs at all our clinical placements for the last 2 years...number one priority after graduation...burning the blue's! And wow did these babies go up in flames and it felt so good! Never again will we have to wear these awful bright blue scrubs! The night was awesome and full of tons of memory making moments!
